DJ Official

July 15th 2011 by admin in 0 comments

DJ Official was born and raised in Rochester, New York and grew up listening to all types of music; pop, rock, metal, house, techno, funk, jazz, r&b, reggae and of course hip hop.

At thirteen years old DJ Official was introduced to DJing by his homie Eric Peters and straight away was hooked.  DJ Official grew a passion for mixing and blending so he started making mix tapes and shortly after he was given the opportunity by DJ Turk to have an hour slot on Saturday nights at USA Skating Ring, the hottest skating ring in the city at the time.  That opportunity helped get his name out in the streets as “The Blend King.”

DJ Official worked at WRUR; a college radio station at the University of Rochester on the show Straight From The Underground that he co-hosted with Chris Green.  The show lasted ten years and allowed him to meet and interview a wide variety of artists.

Since then he was given the privilege to join Dead Poetz Society and perform with legends such as Notorious BIG, Run DMC, and WU Tang, as well as a host of legendary mix tape DJs; Ron G, Doo Whop, and Jazzy Joyce.

Being a DJ has been a passion and a dream for his since he was thirteen years old and he’s proud to see it come full circle.

DJ Official would like to say thank you to all his family and friends for supporting him and helping him get to this point.

Love You All,

Let’s Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
